Adult Ministries

The adults have a lot to do through First Baptist Church of Camarillo. As with any church, the most meaningful adult activities are things like visitation to the needy and works of charity which are hard to list or calendar. They just happen when spirit filled people work to meet a need. This web-page isn't intended to record every act of Christian love that occurs, but rather explain organized, ongoing services and meetings that are of interest to adults.

Awana Ministry
Sundays at 5:00 p.m. (throughout the school year)

Awana

Cubbies (3-4 yrs.), Sparks (K-2nd gd), Truth in Training (3rd-6th gd), and JV (7th-8th gd). AWANA is a club where children from 3 years old through 9th grade meet to play games, memorize verses, and hear Bible stories. Our Awana club is a small club at present, with about 25 children between the four age groups.

Awana for High School

Journey 24/7 (aka Varsity) meets earlier than the younger Awana students (5:00 - 6:30 p.m.) Sunday evenings. This allows our teens to do their discipleship and games separately; and have the option of helping as "leaders in training" in the younger clubs from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

The First Baptist Church of Camarillo Awana club competes in Bible drills with other clubs in the area and participates in the annual Awana scholarship camp. We do Awana games outdoors during the fall and spring, and indoors during the winter because of weather.
